Bio:
I am a second generation Ukrainian-Canadian with otherwise primarily Acadian roots. I identify as a settler, having spent my formative years on Mi’kmaq territory, and the last ten years on Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee territory. I recently completed a PhD in critical health promotion and am in the final stages of completing residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON. Academically, I work primarily from a critical qualitative research paradigm, and am drawn to participatory, narrative, and arts-based methods that serve anti-capitalist, anti-colonial, and anti-ableist approaches to health and wellbeing.
