Bio:
Kim Peake, Research Navigation and Community Facilitation Lead, Interior Health Research Department, BC SUPPORT Unit Interior Centre
Kim’s role with IH and the Interior Centre is centered on building meaningful connections among many people including community members, patient-partners, academics, students, physicians, and researchers. Kim supports the Patient Engagement in Research (PEiR) Committee and truly values the power of community-driven research. As a Clinical Instructor with Okanagan College, she teaches medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, effective workplace communication, and gastroenterology nursing with a primary focus on infection control and environmental safety concepts.
Kim is a mother to a strong young woman named Sera, and holds this relationship most dear. With humility and gratitude, they acknowledge they live as uninvited guests on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx Nation of the Okanagan Peoples.
