Bio:
I work and live on the territories of the Coast Salish people in what is also known as Vancouver.
I am a family physician who graduated in 2002 from UBC med and then completed my residency at UofT at St. Joseph’s with a third year in Women’s Health. I have been an OAT provider throughout my career and received by AM designation as well as my fellowship of CCFP. I continue to work in sites where FP residents train and in multidisciplinary teams to offer broader service and care.
The SDH have been a critical part of understanding and supporting my patients. I am engaged with anti-racism work and promoting cultural humility and safety for Indigenous peoples. I have been a Board member of BCCFP for 5 years and we have prioritized these values.
I am also a single mom with one child, one dog and one cat! My parents are immigrants and I am the first born in Canada in my family.
